Oil-immersed Type Transformer Pointer-Type Oil Level Gauge
Introduction:
This oil level gauge is suitable for the oil level indication and high and low oil level alarm in transformer's oil
conservator. Its usage is convenient and it possesses the double functions that are direct indication on-the-spot
and outputting switch signal for long distance monitoring. It is an oil level monitoring gauge indispensable for
transformer's oil conservator.
Structure and working principle:
Structure
The oil level gauge is composed by display part, alarm part, transmission part and sensing part.
○The display part is composed by 2 parts that are pointer and indicating dial.
○The alarm part is composed by magnet (or cam )and switch.
○The transmission part is composed by swing block, change-over change gear and magnetic coupling device.
○The sensing part is floating ball or diaphragm of oil conservator.
Work principle
When the oil level in transformer's oil conservator rises or drops, along with it the floating ball of the oil level
gauge or the diaphragm of the oil conservator floats up and down and drives the swing block to swing up and
down. The swing block, through the transmission part and magnetic coupling device, drives the pointer of
display part to rotate and thus makes the oil level of transformer's oil conservator display on the dial.
When the oil level rises to the highest or drops to the lowest oil level, the pointer indicates to the maximum or
the minimum position and at the same time releases alarm signal.

○Environment temperature: -30ºC~55ºC
○Environment relative humidity: not more than 90%(20ºC)
○Precision: 2.5 degree
○Alarm error: less than ±2.5% of the total dial
○Contact capability: AC 220V 1A; DC 220V 0.5A
○Insulation performance: Power frequency 50Hz, 2000V, 1minute;
○Sealing performance: 245 KPa, for 20 minutes without leakage.
○Protection degree: IP55

level gauge and swing block length (the central distance between the center of the floating ball and hinge point)
referring to drawing 5, chart 1,2 and 3 to make sure of the correctness between the display value of oil level
gauge and real oil position.
