1.Principle of industrial silicon production
In the submerged arc furnace, using the heat energy converted by electric energy, silica and carbonaceous reductant react to produce industrial silicon.The reaction process is relatively complex, which can be simply expressed as SiO2 + 2C = Si + 2CO

Applications
HXZ series steelmaking DC arc furnaces are used for melting quality carbon steel and kinds of alloy steel. Their
normal capacities are from 3t to 100t.
Features
According to its power matching, HXZ series steelmaking DC arc furnaces can be divided into OP, HP and UHP;
According to its operation form, it can be divided into left and right operations. The type of roof is a kind of
spinning to add material. The whole apparatus is of a reasonable design, reliable operation and excellent
performance.
